I get a lot of questions about bedding. The big pull today is HOTEL BEDDING. The look and feel of the "heavenly bed"...coined by The Westin back in 1999. Here are the highlights of the how to:
*Keep it simple.
*Hotel bedding.
*All white or all cream.
*A lot of pillows, layers, textures.
*Pop of a color or pattern at the end of the bed and the shams.
HERE'S THE BASIC HOW TO:
--Decide if the all white or all cream look is for you. If not, move on to the next step.
--What color is your wall? If it is a light color, choose your main quilt/duvet in that same color. If it is a dark color, choose the lighter version of that wall color. Also, purchase 2 shams in the same color as your main quilt/duvet choice.
--Decide calm or pop. Do you want a subtle look or pops of color? Choose a quilt if you are using a duvet as your main choice and choose a duvet if your main choice is a quilt. This creates contrast. Fold this at the end of the bed.
--Fluff it. Add some fun textured tone on tone pillows for the subtle look or more pops of coordinating color from the end of the bed choice.
